Give the Feet Some Love!

Short post tonight. I’m trying to relax and wash away all this tension I have, so I took a hot bath and painted these pretty little piggies!

How relaxing indeed! I remember the first few times I painted my daughters fingers/toes, the excitement in the faces was priceless (yes, I do paint my daughters nails)!! Glad you were able to take some “me” time as it’s always needed. 😀

    Nice. Sounds very relaxing. 🙂

I gave myself a facial today, spending some time relaxing while I had the homemade mask on.

That sounds lovely! What kind of mask do you make? I would like to try one.

It’s a recipe from Yoga Journal. Grind up 2 teaspoons of flax seeds and mix with just enough water to form a paste. Use that to wash/exfoliate your face. The oil in the flax seeds is very nice. For the mask, mix together 2 tablespoons of yogurt with 1/3 teaspoon honey and a pinch of turmeric. I worried that the turmeric would dye my skin yellow. Silly me. It didn’t. Leave the mask on for 10 minutes while you relax. Wash off with warm or cool water.

Winter air here is so drying. This was a nice way to nourish and moisturize. 🙂
