Half-Assed Sabitical, Here I Come!!!

Let me start off by saying I ABSOLUTELY love taking pictures. I love playing with them in PSE and I love posting them for all to see, but I am soooo frikin tired. I feel like I have run 10 miles and back and did it again. It has nothing to do with photography and everything else to do with whats going on in my life. There’s nothing horrible going on or extremely taxing (anymore), but I am exhausted.

Now please don’t think that I’m complaining in this next part; I’m just merely explaining a little. I go to school full-time, work full-time, and have a little family. I am beyond busy and getting on the computer after doing homework or whatever-it-is-I-do-that-sucks-my-energy-out, is the last thing I feel like doing right now. However, I made a pledge to myself to do this 365 photo challenge and I have been amazed at how much I have learned and at how much I have fallen in love with photography. I know I have missed a few days, and a lot more than a few days have been sub par pictures, even for my standards, and I don’t have high ones when it comes to my ownbpersonal photography :)~, but I plan to keep going. I may not write as much, post multiple pictures, or comment as frequently on other peoples amazing blogs for a week or so. It’s okay though, because when I come after my half-assed sabbatical, I’m coming back full force!

Lovely food photograph. Simplicity at it’s best.
Less clutter and I like the color pop on the veggies. I like the POV too.

Wow! You have every right to feel exhausted — your plate is full to the rim. Kudos to you for not giving up on the photography and blogging. We all have uninspire posting days due to things in life. It’s okay if it’s not as perfect as you would have liked. The important thing is that you make the effort and just post what you can, like you are doing here — which by the way, is a great shot — very creative use of light and pov. 🙂

I am exhausted from reading about your schedule! 😉 As Emily mentioned, you have every right and as I have mentioned, don’t ever feel the need to apologize (or explain yourself), you and your family come first over everything else! I have enjoyed watching the progression of your blog and look forward to what’s to come, keep up the great work Morgan.

I love the colour as well as the PoV in the photo. It’s a shame that I am writing this at 6:23 a.m. as it’s really making me want to go make some! lol

I love that you captured the fire in it too. Great color contrasts.

    The food looks wonderfully yummy.

We all need a break every now and then. If I hadn’t committed to a full year of blogging to go with my outdoor commitment, I’d be taking a week or two off right now.

I FULLY understand! Some days, it’s all I can do to force myself to get out of bed!! I have 2 little guys (my older son has Asperger Syndrome) and a full-time job, so I understand about not always having the energy! That’s party why I split up my latest photo walk into a 4-part series, to give me enough material to post for the week!! 🙂

I work and go to school, but I don’t have a family (but am still exhausted!) so you are my hero!

I agree with what others have said – don’t be too hard on yourself when you can’t post everyday. Keep up the good work though – you have a lot of talent! 🙂
