Surprise!

Almost everyday after I pick Roman up from Day Care we check the mail. Today he had to take the balloons with him as we checked. I remember being so excited to check the mail when I would get home from school it was like a surprise waiting to be found, now about the only time I look forward to is when I’m expecting a package. It’s nice to remember the simple joys in life. Checking the mail while taking the balloons with me.

This picture also makes me want to learn Photoshop. I would have liked to make the photo black and white with only the balloons having color. Who knows it might not have been that great but until I figure it out I wont know. I think I’ll sign up for a class in January. Hopefully the college offers it.

The simple things in life. Always worth remembering, and usually the things we value the most, yet pay the least attention to. Thanks for reminding me.

I know someone that could probably help you with your photos 😉 But personally, I think it’s good the way it is. Simple.

Thanks Jake for the offer and for the encouragement! I might have to take you up on the offer someday if I have a picture that I absolutely must change because the picture in my head doesnt match the picture on the camera 🙂

Taking Photoshop classes is a good idea. But you won’t need to buy an expensive software like Photoshop if you only want to do some image editing.
Try GIMP, a free software under the GNU license, which is very comparable to Photoshop and offers most of Photoshop features. It does a great job.
Another option would be Corel’s image editing software. It’s about $59 I think.

Photos in black and white can make a big difference sometimes but there are still other options like serpia. If you ever get a chance, try that and you might like your photos even better that way than just in black and white.

For some reason your comments got put in the spam folder? Weird. Anyways, Ive heard about GIMP and love the concept, I might give them a try. Ill be taking photography class in Jan. so maybe after I get some of the basics down I will try my hand at editing.
