I know I havent posted for a few days but I had pneumonia. It kicked my but. While it’s still lingering, I’m through the worst of it. At one point my fever had reached 103.2, and who knows it might have gotten higher, but I tried to sleep through it. I have not been that sick in YEARS!
While I was sick Sal brought home the beauty you see above so I could test drive it in my pajama’s. I had spotted it a couple of days earlier and wanted to look at it, but then death came knocking on my door. It’s not the first time he’s been here, but I seem to beat him every time. Take that death! Anyways, we have been talking about selling the Dodge and getting an SUV for a while. I wanted something we can fit everyone (including V) in for trips, something that tows, and something with a DVD for the little munchkin.
I test drove this beauty in my pajama’s and loved it, without falling in love with it, cuz that’s when things seem to go south. So Saturday morning I got up and went to the dealership. Not exactly something I wanted to do, but I had researched it the night before and I couldn’t find one this cheap anywhere. It seemed the price in the paper was a typo but they honored it, and luckily the dealership agreed to the rest of my demands, hehehe, and we were out of there in less than 2 hours.
Now, I’ll explain why it’s a present from Sal. We share bank accounts so its our money that bought it, but he sacrificed something he loves dearly in order to get this. See, I have a Honda Accord and he has a Dodge Ram, and we don’t need three vehicles so….yep, he gave up his truck. He absolutely loved that truck. So did I. It was nice and big, comfortable, and was easy on the eyes, but he traded it in. I’m not going to lie, it was kind of hard cleaning it out, but it made it a little easier looking at this.
So I will be driving this and he will be driving the Honda. I love this thing, it rides like a boat, and it has a ton of room!
The best thing about this Valentines present though, is that we now have room if we decide to have another little rugrat. With Valentines Day tomorrow who’s not thinking about their family? I know we are, and while were not quiet ready for an addition yet, maybe soon. For us, having another baby isn’t a simple thing. There are surgeries, and possible bed rest to think about. But, when we do decide it’s time, we’ll have something to take us all home from the hospital. 🙂

Wow! That’s quite a Valentine’s Day gift! 🙂
And out of the dealership with the vehicle in less than 2 hours??! That’s a gift, too. Or a testament to your bargaining skills.
Glad to hear you’re feeling better.
